The second-highest rated signee in Alabama’s 2020 class has to have an immediate impact, right? Not necessarily, but Will Anderson is an extremely talented kid who should see the field up front, especially with Raekwon Davis gone.

Bryon Young is still around at defensive end, as is Justin Eboigbe, and the 2019 class yielded some elite prospects like Kevin Harris, Ming Mwikuta and Braylen Ingraham at the defensive end position, so it’s not like Nick Saban has a bare cupboard there, but how can you overlook a five-star from Georgia who enrolled early?

Anderson has a 6-3, 230-pound frame who just looks the part of a solid rotational piece up front. He may not be the biggest end, but what he lacks in elite size, he makes up for with athleticism and strength.

There’s a chance Anderson could be built like more of a linebacker, but he’s an elite pass rusher who could have an immediate impact up front. He could dominate on the edge.

Anderson is ranked the No. 17 player in the class as well as the top-ranked weak-side defensive end in the class, according to the composite. And 247Sports has him ranked even higher as the No. 5 overall recruit in the 2020 cycle.
