The Wolfpack were not very good offensively last season. Talent, however, was not the issue. They were also very young last season. When you lose players the caliber of Ryan Finley, Reggie Gallaspy III, Jakobi Meyers and Kelvin Harmon, you are going to struggle. That’s NFL-caliber talent.

They settled on quarterback Devin Leary and it seems to be his job to lose going forward. They have a good 1-2 punch at running back with Zonovan Knight and Jordan Houston.

Selecting the impact player here was not easy considering the Wolfpack had issues on both their offensive and defensive lines. Of their commits, seven of them are in the trenches. Their top lineman prospect, Davin Vann, is sure to have an impact on the Wolfpack defense.  He has good size and will need to get bigger, but his film is impressive.

Vann has good hands for a high school senior and a good first step. Cary (N.C.) High School used him all over the field on offense, defense and special teams. He has speed for someone of his size and build.

The Wolfpack are fairly young along their defensive line, but they lost three grad-transfers, and that will give Vann every opportunity to slide in and play next season.
