2. Thaddeus Moss, LSU

The LSU Tigers had the most explosive offenses in recent college football history as they averaged 48.4 points per game in 2019.

Thaddeus Moss is the son of NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss. He benefitted from a high-powered LSU offense to make him a nightmare against opposing defense. Last season with the Tigers, Moss caught 47 receptions for 570 yards and four touchdowns. His biggest games were in the College Football Playoff where he had four receptions for 99 yards and a touchdown against Oklahoma and two touchdowns against Clemson.

Moss’ quickness off the ball and ability to make quick cuts and turns makes him difficult to cover against linebackers and certain safeties. He can create mismatches before the play that makes defenses have to change some formations.

He is smaller than some of the other tight ends at 6-3 but he packs the size at 249 pounds that still match up to the other prospects. He possesses great speed that he will display at the NFL scouting combine. His ability to block could receive more attention as he will mostly a pass-catching tight end.

Scouts and coaches only had one year to showcase his talent as he decided to forgo his senior season next season at LSU. Ultimately, Moss could’ve highly benefitted from another year at college to have more impact on his draft stock and get more looks. The NFL Combine is a stage where he can showcase his talent that matches similarly to former Washington Redskins tight end Jordan Reed as a predominate pass-catcher.
