1. This receiver class is scary-good

It really can go without saying at this point, but these receivers are out of this world. The question of the day was could Henry Ruggs III break John Ross’ record for fastest 40-yard dash? Ruggs did not, but he made 4.27 look smooth and effortless.

There were so many great receivers on display, but one under the radar guy that really stood out to me was Chase Claypool. There was some chat for him to shift to tight end, but he showed he can run and jump like a wide receiver.

Watch out for some guys who couldn’t work out tonight but will factor into the receiving class including Tee Higgins, KJ Hamler, Van Jefferson and Bryan Edwards. Once they are fully healthy, most or all of those guys can break out as Day 2 picks.

In this class, Jerry Jeudy and CeeDee Lamb are first round picks. Ruggs probably solidified himself in the first round with his performance on Day 1. After that you have so many talented receivers that may be good enough to go in the first, but will go later due to the abundance of talent in the position.
