The 2020 season is still months away, but spring ball is just about upon us. What can we expect from Arkansas football in Sam Pittman’s first year?

A new era has begun in Fayetteville and it has Arkansas fans excited. Sam Pittman has taken over as head coach for Chad Morris and he’s already reeling in the nation’s No. 30 recruiting class to go along with a handful of impact transfers.

Feleipe Franks is the biggest name joining the program from Florida as he could potentially lead the offense next season. As all Razorback fans know, the quarterback position was an absolute disaster in 2019 with Nick Starkel and Ben Hicks leading the way, but Franks brings with him a wealth of experience as well as a strong arm.

Don’t sleep on four-star incoming freshman Malik Hornsby who could also compete for the starting quarterback job.

As for the rest of the offense, Rakeem Boyd returns and the receiving corps should be solid for whoever starts at quarterback.

Defensively, there are more question marks. The Razorbacks were 124th nationally in scoring defense last season and allowed over 450 yards per game so it’s clear Pittman and new defensive coordinator Barry Odom need to solve the problems that plagued this unit a year ago.

How will Arkansas finish the 2020 season?
