3. Miami Hurricanes

I have to admit that it gets old doing the same song and dance with Miami every offseason. We discuss how much more talent they have than anyone else in the division, pick them to make the ACC Championship and then they go 7-5. But after thinking this over, I think you’ve got to admit that the Hurricanes are a very intriguing team in the ACC heading into 2020.

They made some excellent moves to address their biggest issues from last season.

Hiring Rhett Lashlee to install the spread and up-tempo offense should fix the Hurricanes’ long-standing offensive woes. D’Eriq King will be an exciting option that they have not had at quarterback in recent years and Andres Borregales transferred in from FIU to help solve some serious kicking woes that the Hurricanes had last season. Quincy Roche is transferring in from Temple and that will give the Hurricanes the top returning pass rusher according to Pro Football Focus and paired with Gregory Rousseau, the Canes will have what I think is the top pass rushing duo in the entire country.

All of the ingredients are there for Miami to improve significantly upon last season and win the Coastal division, the big question is: Can the Hurricanes finally play up to their potential?
