3. Arizona State Sun Devils

As the only Pac-12 team that beat the Ducks last season, Arizona State could be in for a big 2020 with quarterback Jayden Daniels returning and having a year of experience under his belt after starting last year as a true freshman.

The Sun Devils will have to figure out how to replace running back Eno Benjamin and receiver Brandon Aiyuk after their departures to the NFL.

The Sun Devils have rebranded into a very physical football team ever since hiring Herm Edwards, who has exceeded the very low expectations that were set on him upon his arrival and the unique way that Arizona State has their football department setup.

Arizona State returns 76 percent of its production on defense, according to ESPN‘s Bill Connelly and that will be key in helping an offense that is missing some key contributors from last year’s squad.

The schedule is light to start out, but key road games against USC and Oregon will set the tone for how Edwards’ third season in Tempe will go.
