1. USC Trojans

Let me get out in front and say that I don’t think that Clay Helton is going to be the coach to lead USC back to the top of college football and I think that the Week 1 game against Alabama may very well be just as bad as it was in 2016.

Now with all of that out of the way, I think that USC is best equipped to challenge Oregon for the Pac-12 crown. They will have one of the most talented offenses in the entire country and I think that they may have the best receiving corps in the entire country with Tyler Vaughns and Amon-Ra St. Brown. I think that it all starts and ends with sophomore quarterback Kedon Slovis.

Slovis was phenomenal for the Trojans last season and was one of the most accurate passers in the entire country and really fits in well with offensive coordinator Graham Harrell’s air-raid.

USC’s defense was bad last season and now they are turning to former Houston and Texas defensive coordinator Todd Orlando to help solve the Trojans’ defensive woes. The schedule is a bit challenging with the Week 1 clash with Alabama, a road test at Oregon and a home date with Notre Dame.

This is a big season for the future of Helton and USC football and I think that from a talent perspective and returning production standpoint, the Trojans will be best equipped to challenge the Oregon Ducks for the Pac-12 title.
