3. Replacing skill position production

Oklahoma is blessed with a load of talent at the skill position groups but replacing a superstar like wide receiver CeeDee Lamb is not an easy task.

Despite Trey Sermon recently transferring to Ohio State, I think that Oklahoma will be just fine at running running back with last year’s second-leading rusher Kennedy Brooks (behind only Jalen Hurts) back for his junior season. After rushing for over 1,000 yards in each of his first two seasons as a major contributor, he may be ready to put up some big numbers as new quarterback Spencer Rattler gets adjusted.

To help ease the loss of Lamb, Charleston Rambo is back for his redshirt junior season and after being the second-leading receiver last fall and he could take over that top spot.

Two names to watch in the receiving corps this season will be sophomores Jadon Haselwood and Theo Wease. Both of these guys were five-star receivers in the 2019 recruiting class and they could be ready to be big-time players for the Sooners this fall.
