The Huskies signed two big-time wide receiver recruits in Rome Odunze and Jalen McMillan.  Both receivers are four-stars and with the Huskies losing three receivers to graduation next season both are sure to see snaps if not start.

Choosing Odunze over McMillan is extremely nit-picky. Odunze has more size than McMillan. He has good speed, but McMillan is a burner. Odunze is the more physical of the two receivers. Both, however, will make a dangerous 1-2 punch for at least the next three years.

Here are some of the things you have to like about Odunze. First, he is a hands receiver. He high-points the ball well. He does not wait for the ball to come to him; he reaches out and uses his hands instead of his body. McMillan is a burner for sure, but Odunze does not get caught from behind very often.

Like most long-striders, he is faster than he looks. You love the track background as it concerns his ability to reach his top-end speed quickly. He is not afraid to run routes across the middle of the field and uses his body well for 50/50 balls. With both of these receivers, the term “pick your poison” is going to be used frequently.
