NFL Draft 2020: Tua Tagovailoa to Dolphins a lock in latest mock
The 49ers wound up as the second-best team in the NFL in 2019 and while they came up just short of a Super Bowl victory, they have an incredibly bright future.
Now it’s time to get Jimmy Garoppolo some weapons in the passing game. That’s where Alabama’s Jerry Jeudy comes into play.
Jeudy joins several of his other Alabama teammates in leaving the program one year early to declare for the draft. He played eight games in his freshman year, 15 his sophomore year and 13 in his senior year at Alabama, getting better each season. He recorded 159 total career receptions for 2,742 yards and 26 touchdowns.
During his last season with Alabama, Jeudy posted 77 receptions for 1,163 yards and 10 touchdowns.
Jeudy will add to the 49ers’ offense with his ability to make tough catches despite heavy coverage. He runs sharp routes and is experienced in professional style routes much like other Alabama alumni in the NFL.
