NFL Draft 2020: Tua Tagovailoa to Dolphins a lock in latest mock
The Dallas Cowboys finished the 2019 season with a disappointing .500 record. They won their first three games and then lost three consecutive games. Dallas essentially traded wins and losses every other week before losing three of their last five games.
Dallas comes into the 2020 NFL Draft with plenty of needs on the defensive side of the ball, though linebacker may not be more dire than defensive back — this is still a high-value pick.
Patrick Queen, a linebacker from LSU, spent three seasons with the Tigers left with one year of eligibility left. In his time with LSU, Queen posted 131 total tackles as well as an interception, two pass deflections and a fumble recovery. Of those stats, 85 total tackles were recorded in 2019 along with the rest of that impressive stat line of an interception and two pass deflections.
Queen’s speed and athletic ability to cover tight ends and running backs and his contact balance enable him to either make the tackle or finish it. The Cowboys struggled on defense last season and the addition of Queen should bring some strength and stability to that side of the ball.
