NFL Draft 2020: Complete first-round mock, post-free agency
The San Francisco 49ers traded defensive tackle DeForest Buckner to the Indianapolis Colts, who will fit perfectly with their scheme. The 49ers will look for a younger player who can take over that role as the main defensive tackle.
Javon Kinlaw is a dynamic tackle, who can stop the run and create a significant pass rush at multiple variations on the defensive line. He is a defensive lineman that constantly thrives on getting into the backfield.
Despite his huge frame, Kinlaw has great breakout speed and an explosive get-off that makes him a tough defensive lineman to block at the line of scrimmage.
Kinlaw is a pure three-technique tackle who fills the position perfectly. There are no other positions that the 49ers that fill this early in the draft after the trade. It won’t matter too much if the Kinlaw falls this far in the draft.
