Onside Kick Region

1-seed Onside kick vs. 8-seed “Dynasty is dead” game against UGA

These are two of Alabama’s greatest games of all time, and they both happened in the same season. This moment of the onside kick showed Saban’s guts, but the game against Georgia showed the team’s grit. We’ll see how this one goes down, but my opinion is reflected in the rankings.

13-seed Mettenberger’s crawl vs. 5-seed Coker’s scramble TD vs. Auburn

Zach Mettenberger crawling off of the field was a symbol for Alabama’s strength against a powerful team. Mettenberger went up against one of Alabama’s best defenses, but Coker had a great play in the Iron Bowl. Iron Bowl plays always get a boost in the minds of Tide fans.

3-seed Bama’s revenge in NOLA vs. 6-seed Tua’s second half against UGA

This one will be hard to vote for. Both moments are from championship games. I think Tua’s second half has the chance to pull off the upset since it’s more recent, but a lot of Tua’s best plays got eliminated in the first round. You’ll just have to stay tuned.

2-seed Kenyan Drake’s TD against Clemson vs. 10-seed Mark Ingram’s Heisman

In a game that ended up being just one score, of course we had to have the Drake TD to beat Clemson. However, people love Mark Ingram, and his Heisman set the standard for future running backs for the Tide. I can’t wait to see if an upset happens here.

We’ve still got some rounds before we get to the best Alabama football moment of the Saban era, but I like this list as the top 32.
