Strengths

While he was not the fastest wide out for the Crimson (having to compete with Henry Ruggs III), Jerry Jeudy possesses great speed off the snap of the ball and acceleration. He’s a tough player to catch once he is in open space.

In the 2020 NFL Combine, Jeudy ran a 4.45 in the 40-yard dash, which was tied for 10th-highest among all wide receiver prospects.

What makes him one of the most distinguished receiver prospects in the draft is his excellent route-running ability. Part of that comes from his speed off the ball and his ability to turn his hips and quickly stay on the path once he goes to his route. Due to his route running ability, he is highly elusive in his runs and playmaking abilities.

Switching to slot receiver showed his huge versatility as a route runner as he can play outside receiver and slot receiver. He also has a wide variety of routes he can excel in from deep verticals to inside hitches. He can easily track the ball on deep passes and can make the catches his soft hands.

As a receiver, he has no problem fighting for the ball on contended passes. Jeudy has an upper hand in his size at 6-1, 193 pounds to challenge defensive backs once he accelerates from the snap. He is also tough as he can endure the hits given by the opposing defenders and secure the ball.
