Miami. 6. player. Trevon Hill. 47. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. DE

Trevon Hill was one of the big names that Manny Diaz landed from the transfer portal in 2019. After spending his first three seasons at Virginia Tech, Hill was looking to make an instant impact on the field for the Hurricanes in 2019, but overall had a bit of a disappointing season.

Hill finished the season with 27 tackles and 4.5 sacks and was not the week-to-week impact player that the Hurricanes needed. He saw his draft stock drop even further when he worked out at the NFL combine. He ran 4.89 40-yard dash and only had a 28-inch vertical leap.

Hill’s biggest attribute is supposed to be his athleticism and speed off the edge but he just did not show that frequently enough at Miami and had a disastrous combine.

A good landing spot for Hill would be the New England Patriots. The Patriots are in need of some athletic edge players and youth at the position and they can afford to take a flyer on Hill.

Projection: Sixth round (No. 195 overall)
