WR. Jeff Thomas. 44. Pick Analysis. Miami. 7. player. Scouting Report

Jeff Thomas has some explosive talent but was never quite able to put it all together.

Off-field issues were a problem for Thomas at Miami and was the reason for his dismissal towards the end of the 2018 season. He was brought back by new coach Manny Diaz and was hoping to finally put together a full season and realize his full potential.

Thomas never really got to show his field stretching ability and finished the season with just 31 receptions for 379 yards and three touchdowns, while averaging 12.2 yards per catch. He finished his career with only one special teams touchdown and that was supposed to be a trademark of his when he was recruited out of high school. Thomas never seemed to get on track in college and he has some potential if he can keep his head on straight.

The Atlanta Falcons are a team that could use a guy like Thomas. They have two high-level starters in Julio Jones and Calvin Ridley, but are searching for a third threat. The Falcons also have not had a reliable returner on special teams in quite a while as well.

Projection: Seventh round (No. 228 overall)
