DT. No. 135. Robert Windsor. 55. Pick Analysis. player. Scouting Report. 4

In Penn State’s 2015 recruiting class, defensive tackle Robert Windsor was the last ranked signee for the Nittany Lions. Now Windsor is on the cusp of playing at the next level.

More from Saturday Blitz

Windsor carved himself out an underrated career at Penn State. Many times he was the forgotten man along the defensive front where the edge rushers got a lot of the spotlight.

The last two seasons Windsor started 25 games, where he recorded 78 total tackles, 15 for loss and 10 sacks. Last season he made his presence felt in a close win at Iowa, recording 2.5 tackles for loss and a sack.

Every few years the Pittsburgh Steelers will draft a Nittany Lion, the last being safety Marcus Allen in the 2018 draft. The Steelers need to add depth at defensive tackle position, especially with the departure of Javon Hargrave to the Eagles.

The 290-pound Windsor looks like he is more suited to play in a 3-4 defense which the Steelers have used as their base defense since the early 1980s.

Projection: Fourth round (No. 135 overall to Steelers)
