Georgia Football: Where will Bulldogs land in 2020 NFL Draft?
The Georgia Bulldogs have earned the right to make a claim as RBU. Whether it be over the course of the last 30-40 years to just the past decade, the Bulldogs have given the NFL elite talent at the running back position.
From Todd Gurley to Nick Chubb, the Bulldogs have made an impact on the league for years to come. Which brings us to the second Bulldog taken in this year’s draft and that’s running back D’Andre Swift.
NFL offenses have evolved the running back position, making them third, second and even first options in the passing game, more than they’ve ever been before. And Swift fits that role perfectly.
In recent years, we’ve seen running backs go earlier more consistently than they have before. Swift has all the talent to make an instant impact on an NFL offense and could go as early as the middle of the first round. But due to the talent at the wide receiver position in this year’s draft, and NFL teams’ needs, Swift could find himself being selected in the second round — or just before the second round.
Projection: First round, No. 32 (Chiefs)
