Jerry Jeudy will not be the only Crimson Tide receiver that gets drafted in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. Henry Ruggs III will look to continue the long line of Crimson Tide receivers that gets drafted in the first round and go on to have success.
Ruggs was one of the three dynamic playmakers at the wide receiver position. His role as a slot receiver was not limited to the routes he ran.
Morecover, Ruggs’ elite speed and dynamic playmaking abilities will translate to an NFL team looking for a dominant inside receiver. In 2018, Ruggs caught 46 passes for 741 yards and 11 touchdowns. Last season as a junior, he caught 40 passes for 746 yards and seven touchdowns.
Ruggs has been a prospect that has been rising since his fantastic performance in the NFL combine. A team like the San Francisco 49ers will look to utilize Ruggs’ reliability as a slot receiver and high speed. He will fit perfectly with the short-yardage passing scheme of the 49ers.
