CB. Trevon Diggs. 1. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Alabama. 42

Trevon Diggs is projected to be the last Crimson Tide player to be selected in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. He has been a top-tier defensive playmaker as the number one coverage corner for the past two seasons.

Before suffering a broken foot midway through his junior season in 2018, Diggs accounted for 20 total tackles, one interception and six pass deflections. In his senior season, Diggs accounted for 37 total tackles, 20 solo tackles, three interceptions, eight pass deflections, and two fumble recoveries.

Diggs has great backpedaling steps and athleticism as well as great zone coverage skills. He can use help in developing his skills as a man coverage cornerback. He can improve this attribute when he gets drafted by the 49ers and learn from star veteran cornerback Richard Sherman.

Projection: First round, No. 31 overall (49ers)
