Jaylon Johnson. 1. player. 52. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. CB. Utah

Of all the players in the draft, one of the few players who benefit from scouts having his tape and only his tape is junior defensive back Jaylon Johnson. He did not run a great 40-yard dash at the combine, but his tape shows how good he is.

Johnson is a corner who can do it all. He can play press-man, off man, or zone coverage. He has ideal size for a cornerback looking to transition to the next level at 6-0 and nearly 200 pounds. He is physical in coverage and uses the boundary as an ally.

There is going to be a run on wide receivers in this draft. It is also going to be a run on cornerbacks in this draft as well. The question is where does it happen. Jeff Okudah and CJ Henderson are the first two defensive backs taken in this draft.

It is not a stretch to say Jaylon Johnson is the third-best corner in this draft. Scouts have to determine how much of a drop off it is between Henderson and Johnson. Jacksonville needs cornerback help, desperately.

With two picks in the first round gives the Jaguars the flexibility to go offense with their first pick and defense with their second.
