Now-senior Jayden Peevy spent the last season sitting behind then-sophomore Bobby Brown and then-junior Justin Madubuike. He still managed 34 total tackles, 12 solo and five for loss. He added 2.5 sacks and due to his height, found himself on the kick blocking unit quite a bit and blocked an extra point against Alabama.

Peevy was in the top 10 in tackles and in the top three in sacks and that is without being a consistent starter for the Aggies.

Now, with Madubuike on to the NFL, Peevy is ready to step up into that starting role. He has even taken to Twitter, stating it is “his turn” to take over the Aggie defense.

The senior defensive tackle has been overshadowed by the sheer size of Brown and then by Daylon Mack and Madubuike, but now there is a spot for Peevy to move into alongside Brown and can step up and get those numbers up to starter levels.
