NFL Draft 2020: 5 rookies who could become Pro Bowlers
By Dante Pryor
Most football people thought J.K. Dobbins was the best running back in this draft. It’s not hard to see why. He came into this past season at Ohio State on a mission. Scouts thought he could be in better shape; he came to camp in the best shape of his Buckeye career.
He worked on pass-catching and ball security; Dobbins improved in both areas. This resulted in Dobbins rushing for over 2,000 yards and 21 touchdowns this season. He also averaged over 10 yards per reception.
What the Ravens are going to love about Dobbins is he fits the mold of a “Baltimore back”. Much like Ray Rice, Jamal Lewis and Bernard Pierce, Dobbins is a one-cut-and-go running back. He fits the running scheme of the Ravens.
Dobbins won’t wow you with his speed and he does not have much shake or wiggle. He is not that type of runner. He anticipates the crease, gets there, and hits the hole hard. Dobbins runs angry, and Ravens fans are going to love him for it.
He is a great compliment to Mark Ingram and Lamar Jackson in the backfield.
