If the Eric Stokes hype train has not taken off yet, then I will volunteer as the conductor to drive it.

Stokes is a shutdown corner with very good size at 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds and has excellent ball skills to go with great coverage instincts. He does not have eye-popping stats when you first look at them, but that should show that he is not thrown at often and when he is, it is not very successful.

Stokes finished his sophomore season with 38 tackles and nine pass deflections.

Without a surefire No. 1 cornerback prospect in the 2021 class, look for Stokes to challenge for that spot and be next year’s Jeffrey Okudah and potentially push for a spot in the top five.
