846. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Max Borghi. 3. player. RB. Washington State

Max Borghi shined bright in his sophomore season just a year ago.

Borghi, now a two-year starter, heads up the offense for the Cougars with a revamped gameplan going into 2020 with Nick Rolovich at the helm. You have to think that Rolovich is seeing a player who might potentially be able to leave for the draft with his talent and use that talent to help new quarterback progress.

The Cougars have to already fill a huge void with Anthony Gordon graduating and moving on to the NFL. It is expected for the Cougars to lean on Borghi to make a run at the Pac-12 title in just the first year of the run-and-shoot offense. In years past, we have seen Washington State be able to put up points but struggle with the defensive side of the ball. That should all be able to be fixed in 2020 with a new regime.

With 28 touchdowns in two years and an increased number of touches even in the air-raid offense, expect to see a ton of Borghi catching passes out of the backfield and using his strength to run some people over in 2020. He will no doubt be the focal point of the WSU offense and be able to shine in the Pac-12.
