At 6-0, 179 pounds, it can be difficult for a small player like Anthony Schwartz to make a case for the NFL just one potential alone.

Much like Seth Williams, Schwartz came in with a loaded 2018 recruiting class of diverse, talented wide receivers. He is one of the fastest and most dangerous wide receivers in college football.

Schwartz possesses the elite speed to beat his defensive backs in vertical routes and shift himself quickly to cut inside causing quick separation from coverage. To go along with his dangerous route running and great hands for a reliable catchability rate, he’s also a quick and slippery jet-sweep runner.

In his freshman year, Schwartz caught 22 passes for 357 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 211 yards and five touchdowns on 27 carries. This past season with the Tigers, he caught 41 passes for 440 yards and a touchdown and rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.

Schwartz’s elite speed and diverse route running ability matches the qualities that former Alabama wide receiver Henry Ruggs III possesses. With the Tigers looking to keep the pressure of their sophomore quarterback Bo Nix, Schwartz can be an exceptionally reliable player in the RPO packages as well as a deep threat target once he beats his receivers.

Look for him to get more production this season as well as looks from NFL coaches and scouts looking for another speedster like Schwartz in the potential second-round area.
