Wide Receiver

Starting receivers: Josh AliBryce Oliver, Allen Dailey
Backups: Clevan ThomasIsaiah Epps, Tae Tae Crumes

Kentucky’s wide receivers and tight ends became almost a non-factor in the passing during the second half of last season as UK ran the ball nearly every play with Terry Wilson and Sawyer Smith injured.

With the real quarterbacks back in 2020, Kentucky’s wide receivers will be more than blockers this season. Josh Ali is Kentucky’s top wide out as he hauled in three touchdowns last season, including the game-winner in the Belk Bowl.

Bryce Oliver showed plenty of promise as a redshirt freshman as well as he averaged 18.5 yards per reception and grabbed a touchdown in the season opener against Toledo.

Allen Dailey figures to be UK’s third starter as his 6-foot-3 frame replaces 6-7 Ahmad Wagner as Kentucky’s jump-ball threat.

Off the bench, Clevan Thomas figures to get plenty of reps after making nine grabs, including a touchdown as a redshirt sophomore last season. The team also looks to get Isaiah Epps back after he missed the entire 2019 season with a foot injury.

Starting tight end: Justin Rigg
Backup: Keaton Upshaw

At tight end, senior Justin Rigg features to be the starter. While he was limited to just 11 catches and 128 yards last season, he is among the top blocking tight ends in the conference and will likely see an increased role in the passing game this coming season.

Kentucky’s second tight end will be the 6-6 Keaton Upshaw, who caught seven passes last season and grabbed a touchdown versus Florida.
