Clemson’s 2015 team began what would be the emergence of the Tigers’ program, becoming one of the top in the nation.

The Tigers guided by quarterback and Heisman Trophy finalist Deshaun Watson put together a perfect regular season that included victories over No. 6 Notre Dame and No. 16 Florida State.

Clemson defeated No. 8 North Carolina in the ACC title game and took down Oklahoma 37-17 in the College Football Playoff semifinals to advance to the national title game where they fell by five points to Alabama.

Clemson’s roster outside of Watson included All-Americans Shaq Lawson, Jayron Kearse, Jordan Leggett, Mackensie Alexander and Greg Huegel. While they did not do it all, they’ll still go down in Clemson’s history as the team that started the program’s rise towards the top.
