I think that South Carolina will have one of the top secondaries in the SEC this season and RJ Roderick is one of the reasons why.

Roderick never played safety before arriving in Columbia, but he has turned into a two-year starter at the position and has been an underrated performer in the SEC. He has totaled at least 55 tackles in both seasons and last season, he added a sack and two interceptions to his resume in 2019.

At 6-foot-0 and 200 pounds, Roderick is one of the key pieces for a talented South Carolina defense and he will be key in helping the Gamecocks add to their win total in 2020.

Roderick projects as a day two or three project for the draft next year but I think that he is an underrated defender and he could a sleeper pick next April.
