Tylan Wallace’s return to play in 2020 for the Cowboys certainly is motivated by his disappointing end to 2019, in which he suffered a midseason knee injury in practice.

Wallace has been electric for OSU since his sophomore year in 2018. He finished as a Biletnikoff Award finalist after racking up 1,491 receiving yards. He led the nation with 63 receptions of 10 yards or longer and was a second-team All-America honoree.

Wallace was on his way to another special junior season before his Week 9 in-practice injury. He led all Power Five wide receivers with 17.0 yards per catch while amassing 903 yards through eight games, the top mark in the Big 12.

Among returning FBS players for 2020, Wallace ranks third in nation in terms of overall receiving yards (2,512) and second with 20 receiving touchdowns.

As a deep threat, NFL scouts should be impressed with Wallace’s ability to repeat his 2018 numbers in the following season, when defensive coordinators had more time and preparation to try to stop the Fort Worth, Tex. native. Those stops didn’t come often in 2019, and they don’t figure to happen much in 2020, either.
