SEC Football: Every team’s best newcomer for 2020 season
By Dante Pryor
The Texas A&M Aggies continue to recruit at a high level. Head coach Jimbo Fisher is stockpiling long, fast, and strong athletic freaks to College Station. The expectation is to create talent depth and competition.
As coach Fisher and the Aggies continue to change the narrative of who they are as a program, they understand they cannot compete with the teams in the SEC West without recruiting and developing at a high level.
Desmond Demas is another freakish athlete recruited by the Texas A&M staff. At 6-3 and 182 pounds, he is physically ready to step in and play day one. Two words that easily describe Demas are long and explosive.
Demas is a long, big-framed receiver with room to grow. He attacks the ball instead of waiting for the ball to come to him. The ball rarely gets to his chest; he uses his hands very well. Demas high points the ball as well as any receiver in this cycle.
There might be some question as to whether or not Kellen Mond can take the Aggies to the next level. A big physical receiver like Demas might help him take his game and the Aggies to the next level.
