SEC Football: The best quarterback in each program’s history
Arguably the most former memorable SEC football gunslinger
It’s hard to find a more accomplished player ever to play college football than former Florida Gator Tim Tebow.
Tebow helped the Gators take home two national championships (2006 and 2008), won the Heisman Trophy in 2007, won the SEC Player of the Year twice (2008 and 2009), took home first-team All-American honors twice (2007 and 2008) and earned first-team All-SEC honors three times (2007-2009).
In four seasons, he threw for 9,285 yards for 88 touchdowns and just 16 interceptions while adding 2,947 yards and an incredible 57 rushing touchdowns. He ranks fourth in program history in passing yards. He leads both the program and SEC in rushing career rushing touchdowns and owning the single-season rushing touchdown (23).
Tebow also owns a pair of single-game program records, including in passing yards (482 vs. Cincinnati) and rushing touchdowns (5 vs. South Carolina).
There’s simply no one quite like Tebow in the Gators storied program history and it will be hard for anyone to ever knock him from the top spot of Florida’s quarterback power rankings.
