Robert Griffin III wasn’t just any dual-threat quarterback, his style of play helped change the position forever.

After being limited to three games due to an ACL tear in 2009, Griffin threw for 3,501 yards and 22 touchdowns with 635 rushing yards and eight touchdowns to lead Baylor to the Texas Bowl.

In 2011, Griffin earned his legendary status as he threw for 4,293 yards with a single-season program record 37 touchdowns while rushing for 699 yards and 10 touchdowns. The Bears put together a 10-3 season capped off with a 67-56 victory over Washington in the Alamo Bowl.

Griffin was named the Heisman Trophy winner, Davey O’Brien Award winner, Manning Award winner, AP Player of the Year and Big 12 Player of the Year for his incredible senior season.

To this day, he is Baylor’s all-time leader in passing yards (10,366) and passing touchdowns (78). He also ranks sixth in program history in rushing yards (2,254) and third in rushing touchdowns (33).

He was drafted with the second-highest pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins, where he won Rookie of the Year honors after leading Washington to the post-season in 2012. Griffin is now the Baltimore Ravens’ backup quarterback.
