Oct. 17. Columbia (Mo.). player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Missouri Tigers. 8. 822

Another SEC East foe, the Missouri Tigers will be under new leadership for the 2020 season, with former Appalachian State head coach Elijah Drinkwitz taking over the Missouri Tigers program after Barry Odom was let go following a very disappointing 6-6 season.

Missouri was thought to be a darkhorse in the SEC East last season with Kelly Bryant transferring from Clemson to be the quarterback, but the Tigers collapsed after a 5-1 start.

Missouri has not defeated Georgia since 2013 and don’t expect that to change in 2020. The game might be in Columbia, which is historically a tough place to play, but the Dawgs have an advantage at every spot on the field and that will be too much for the Tigers this season.

Virginia Cavaliers. 7. Sept. 7. Atlanta (Ga.). player. 888. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Georgia will be kicking off their 2020 season with a neutral site matchup against last year’s ACC Coastal champion Virginia and this will be an interesting matchup for a variety of reasons.

Georgia and Virginia both will be implementing new quarterbacks after the Bulldogs lose Jake Fromm and the Cavaliers lose Bryce Perkins. Georgia will also be debuting  the new-look offense that Dawg fans have been clamoring for for years and that may be the most interesting thing to watch that night.

Virginia is a solid program under head coach Bronco Mendenhall and plays a tough and physical brand of football, but I think that the Cavs may struggle in 2020 without Bryce Perkins and Bryce Hall gone to the NFL.

Expect a close game for maybe a quarter and then the Dawgs pull away for good and win comfortably.
