Georgia Football: Top 3 All-SEC candidates for 2020
1. Zamir White, RB, Georgia football
Zamir White is going to be next in a long line of great UGA running backs. From Todd Gurley to Nick Chubb to Sony Michel, UGA has established themselves as “Running Back U” and Zamir White has all of the talent in the world to be an All-SEC back and All-American candidate.
White came to Georgia in 2018 as a five-star running back recruit, but tore his ACL in fall camp and was forced to be shelved for the entire season. He rehabbed and got fully healthy for 2019 and earned his fair share of carries and finished the year with 78 carries for 408 yards, including an 18-carry, 92-yard performance in the Sugar Bowl against Baylor.
The sophomore is a powerful runner with the speed to break away long runs and he is going to shine as the new feature back for the Bulldogs. Expect a big season from White in which makes first-team All-SEC and pushes himself into the conversation to be a first-round NFL draft pick.
