Earlier, I said that no team has matched Rutgers’ and Kansas’ terrible stretches over the past few years, but if Greg Schiano brings the Scarlet Knights up from the dirt, Arkansas looks like it’ll be more than ready to take that spot.

After back-to-back 2-10 seasons, Sam Pittman inherits a team with no signs of life. Arkansas hasn’t won a conference game since October 2017. That’s not a joke, they’ve really been that bad the last couple of years. With a combined win total of four in the past two seasons, you’d be thinly stretched to find a team in sports that has been worse in that time frame.

Pittman has been a great assistant coach, most recently at Georgia, and an even better recruiter. I have no doubt that he’ll have a positive impact on this program, but he’s got an uphill battle ahead of him in 2020.

Don’t expect the Razorbacks to have much of a resurgence for at least a couple of years.
