Clemson Football: Game-by-game predictions for 2020
Clemson should be wrapping their sixth straight Atlantic division title by this point in the season and the Wolfpack will just be another team in their way. NC State is another ACC team with a long losing streak to the Tigers, as they have not beaten the Tigers since 2011. To that point, N.C State has played Clemson tough in some years, but I don’t think this Wolfpack team is going to be up for this one.
Dave Doeren has done a nice job winning games in Raleigh, but stumbled to a 4-8 record last season and will be looking to bounce back and make a bowl game in 2020. This will be a test that the Wolfpack will fail miserably.
Final Score: Clemson 52, NC State 17 (7-0, 6-0)
This will be one of the games that most football fans and analysts will be keeping an eye on and that is because Syracuse has been the only team that has given Clemson trouble in the last three seasons and were the last team to beat the Tigers in the regular season in 2017 and nearly did so again in 2018.
Head coach Dino Babers has done a fantastic job in rebuilding a Syracuse program that had stumbled upon hard times until he arrived.
I fully expect Syracuse to bounce back from a 5-7 season a year ago. Tommy DeVito is back, as is star Andre Cisco, who led the nation in interceptions in 2018 and had five a season ago. Syracuse will make a bowl game this year, but don’t expect another victory over the Tigers in 2020.
Final Score: Clemson 45, Syracuse 21 (8-0, 7-0)
