Scouting Report. Bloomington (Ind.). Indiana Hoosiers. player. Pick Analysis. Oct. 31. 6. 813

In what could be a tricky game for the Nittany Lions, Indiana is returning 16 starters from last year’s eight-win team and will be looking to build upon that momentum.

Another positive note is that aside from Ohio State and Michigan, Indiana was competitive and had a chance to win every other game on their schedule. The Hoosiers will have an explosive offense and experienced defense and are poised to pull a couple of upsets this season.

Indiana has not beaten Penn State since 2013, but they have come close a couple of times, including 2019, when they only lost by a score of 34-27. I think Indiana will be a tough team to play every week and could pull a couple of upsets. Penn State needs to be careful in Bloomington on Halloween.

Nov. 7. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Lincoln (Neb.). Nebraska Cornhuskers. 5. player. 810

A year after a lot of preseason hype surrounded them, the Nebraska Cornhuskers come into the 2020 season a little under the radar.

A pick by many to win the Big Ten West last season, Nebraska stumbled to another 5-7 record and head coach Scott Frost is feeling a little bit of heat heading into 2020. I don’t think they are a top 15 level team, but this Nebraska team should be markedly better than Frost’s previous two.

Part of the reason that Nebraska has not seen the improvement that many thought would happen under Frost is the offense. Frost has been known to be an offensive guru and it has been a surprise to see the Cornhuskers struggle so much on that side of the ball, but he is hoping that an offensive coordinator switch will result in an improved offense and a better record in 2020.

I expect a Penn State victory, but it may not come easy like many expect.
