Did you ever wonder what it would be like for your parent to hand you keys to a luxury car? That is exactly what happened to Ryan Day. Urban Meyer handed Day the keys to a Mercedes.

Not only did Day not wreck the car, but he also got the Buckeyes to the College Football Playoff in his first full season as head coach. He also continued Ohio State’s dominance over the Michigan Wolverines.

Day and his staff have taken recruiting to the next level at Ohio State as well. They’ve taken the blueprint for national recruiting by Meyer and ran with it.

This season, they are national title contenders once again. Despite losing Chase Young and J.K. Dobbins, the Buckeyes look to be formidable on both offense and defense once again.

The Buckeyes have separated themselves from the rest of the Big Ten in facilities, resources and recruiting. Michigan finished No. 2 in the conference in recruiting in 2020 and No. 14 nationally while Ohio State finished No. 1 in the Big Ten and fifth nationally. That’s the separation.

The Buckeyes lose KJ Hill, Ben Victor and Austin Mack, yet this wide receiver group could be better this season. Not only does Chris Olave return, but they also add two of the top 10 receivers with Julian Fleming and Jaxon Smith-Njigba.

The rich continue to get richer.
