Finding a reliable tacker from the deep secondary can be hard to come by. Greg Eisworth II was one of the most reliable defenders for the Cyclones since arriving in 2018 as a JUCO transfer. In the past two seasons, Eisworth has accounted for 152 total tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, two interceptions, 15 pass deflections and two forced fumbles.

This past season, Eisworth accumulated 65 total tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss, one interception and 10 pass deflections. His pass deflections were the sixth most in the Big 12 this past season. He was picked as a first-team All-Big 12 selection this past season. His 87 total tackles in 2018 were the most ninth by any defensive player in the conference.

This preseason, Eisworth has been named a second-team All-Big 12 selection by Athlon Sports and first-team All-Big 12 selection by Smith & Street. His reliability to read the opposing offense and make open-field tackles makes himself one of the most consistent tacklers for the Cyclones. He is also an underrated playmaker in defending the pass. Finally, he can deliver hard hits on a bigger running back.

Eisworth is a player that can make himself one of the top senior safeties in college football. If he has a standout year in 2020, he has the potential to be a day two selection in the second or third round of the 2021 NFL Draft.
