KJ Britt, also nicknamed “downhill”, is one of the conference’s best linebackers. He had 69 tackles in 2019, but that only scratches the surface of what Britt brings to the Tigers.

Britt was a first-team All-SEC selection a year ago, and his experience and leadership is of the utmost importance. As the defense’s signal-caller, he’ll lead a front-seven full of inexperience. Big Kat Bryant (more on him later) is the lone returner on the defensive line, and Britt and Owen Pappoe are the only returning starters at the backer positions.

Kevin Steele’s defenses have been consistently great during his time on the plains, and should that be the case again in 2020, Britt will be at the forefront of the unit. If the Tigers are dominant once again, and Britt plays a healthy season, it’d be shocking to see him left off the All-SEC team.

Within the conference, the two All-SEC linebacker positions will likely both be players from the state of Alabama. Britt and Alabama backer Dylan Moses, who is returning from injury in 2020, are set to be the class of the conference at the position.
