Oklahoma vs. Penn State

The Nittany Lions and Sooners have only met twice: the 1972 Sugar Bowl and 1986 Orange Bowl and both finished as Oklahoma victories.

Two more perennial championship contenders, these are also two of the elite blue blood programs. Both are top 10 all time in victories and have such a large fan base that will travel.

What makes this home and home interesting is the rarity of even scheduling the other’s conference. Oklahoma has scheduled only one Big Ten opponent since 1986, while Penn State has not scheduled a Big 12 opponent since 1995.

The White Outs at Happy Valley are consistently one of the best atmospheres in the sport, reserved for only the biggest games. The energy in the stadium would rival even the biggest of rivalry games.

This is a game where even if it was scheduled 15 years out, it wouldn’t be a shock to see both James Franklin (currently 48 years old) and Lincoln Riley (36 years old) roaming the sidelines for the respective programs.
