For Mizzou’s Heisman Trophy candidate, we’ll stick with transfer quarterbacks. If the Tigers make a run in the SEC East, it will be TCU transfer Shawn Robinson leading the charge in Colombia.

Robinson’s dual-threat ability makes him ideal for Eli Drinwitz’s new offense.

Much like KJ Costello, Robinson will need both the “Cam factor” and the “Burrow principle” to make this happen. The Tigers have some good skill players returning this season. Robinson will be flanked by the 1-2 punch of Larry Rountree III and Tyler Badie. The Tigers also bring in graduate transfer Damon Hazelton from Virginia Tech.

Their skill-position set is not elite like the top of the SEC, so Robinson will have to carry the day for a miracle run to the SEC title game. Robinson will have to put up numbers that dwarf not just his stats from last season but his entire career.

There is one thing Robinson has in his favor that other players on this part of the list is he’s playing with a better defense than anyone on this list so far. That will keep the Tigers in almost every game this season.

If Drinkwitz can do for Robinson what Brady did for Burrow, he’s in line for a big season.
