1. Trevor Lawrence

Ok, so this one is obvious but bear with me here.

Trevor Lawrence is projected to be the first quarterback taken off the board by CBS Sports and pretty much every other reputable draft source. The main concern Clemson fans should have is whether or not Lawrence’s mind will be focused on helping Clemson win another national championship rather than on the looming draft and maintaining his No. 1 spot in the draft.

We’ve seen prospects in the past fall from grace. Quarterbacks like Matt Barkley or DeShone Kizer were at one time projected to be taken in the first round of the draft. It’s very unlikely this will happen to Lawrence who is as near of a lock for the No. 1 pick with his only other competition coming from Ohio State quarterback Justin Fields.

Lawrence must also improve on his accuracy if the Tigers expect to win the ACC and the national championship. He was the most accurate passer in the ACC last season, but he ranked 16th nationally which was well behind LSU’s Joe Burrow who completed an absurd 76.3 of his passes for over 5,700 yards.

During his two years at Clemson, Lawrence improved in almost every statistical category including passing yards, efficiency and even improved as a rusher, accounting for 563 yards and nine touchdowns last season.

If Clemson has any chance of success this year it is all on the back of Lawrence. If he puts up similar or better numbers this season, it’s practically a cakewalk for the Tigers to earn a spot in the College Football Playoff.

Lawrence is a the odds-on favorite to win the Heisman.
