Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Auburn (Ala.). 842. player. Nov. 21. Auburn Tigers. 11

Auburn was one of the teams that gave LSU a tough time last year and they were the only team to hold the Tigers legendary offense to under 30 points.

Auburn is losing a lot of starters on defense, especially the secondary, but it recruits at a high level and by the time this game rolls around, it should have new starters in place and be playing at their usual level on defense.

Gus Malzahn’s crew has a lot of talent, but much of their season will be determined by how Bo Nix progresses from last season. He had his moments, but struggled when playing against ranked opponents.

This will be a great test for LSU on the road and I think that Auburn will get the best of LSU in what should be another classic game between the two.

Final Score: LSU 20, Auburn 27 (8-3, 5-2)

12. player. 873. Scouting Report. Nov. 28. College Station (Texas). Texas A&M Aggies. Pick Analysis

In the season finale, LSU will take on a Texas A&M team that is under some pressure in 2020 to produce a contending season in the SEC.

Since the time Jimbo Fisher signed that massive contract with the Aggies, the expectations for the program were raised considerably. A&M has done an excellent job on the recruiting trail, but the results have yet to show on the field. Kellen Mond is back for his senior season and the Aggies are returning good starters on both sides of the ball.

College Station is a tough place to play and the Aggies did beat LSU in a seven-overtime thriller the last time they met at Kyle Field. I don’t think Mond is the type of quarterback that can elevate his level of play and those around him to beat elite opponents, so LSU goes down to Texas and gets a victory.

FInal Score: LSU 31, Texas A&M 24 (9-3, 6-2)
