The wait for Spencer Rattler was delayed a little bit when Jalen Hurts transferred to Oklahoma, but the day is finally coming to see this five-star and top-rated quarterback see the field.

More from College Football News

After having three straight Heisman contending quarterbacks, all eyes in Norman are on Rattler. Will the pressure get to the young quarterback or will he thrive as his predecessors did in years past?

Rattler was lifted to legendary status in high school, being labeled as the 11th overall player in the class. He earned this label with multiple accomplishments, including being the first Arizona high school quarterback to throw for over 11,000 yards in his career. He did this with his quick, natural release of the ball, reminiscent of Patrick Mahomes. He has the god-given talent to be a great quarterback, but will he capitalize on these abilities? We’ll have to wait to find out.

Rattler saw extremely limited time during his freshman season with Oklahoma, passing for 81 yards, one touchdown and zero interceptions.

We can’t make a clear judgement based on this or his tape from high school yet, but the image should clear up soon. The sample size at the college level is small, but his potential is through the roof.
