South Florida is going to look much different this season, as it will be the first season under new head coach Jeff Scott, who is coming to Tampa after being the co-offensive coordinator at Clemson the past few seasons.

Scott is going to be tasked with fixing one of the worst offenses in the country and to do that, the Bulls will have to decide on a quarterback and it is a three man race between last year’s freshman starter Jordan McCloud and two transfers.

The first-year head coach has the recruiting prowess and credibility leading an offense to get the South Florida program back on track and challenging for AAC titles. This is going to be a transition season as the Bulls don’t have the quarterback to win games like this just yet. Longhorns roll in this one.

Final Score: Texas 45, South Florida 14 (1-0)

Scouting Report. Sept. 12. Baton Rouge (La.). 817. Pick Analysis. LSU Tigers. 2. player

In one of the classic games of the 2019 season, LSU and Joe Burrow outlasted Sam Ehlinger in Austin last season in a shootout. LSU rode the momentum of that victory all the way to win the national championship behind an offense that dominated in Austin that night.

LSU is going to be reloading in a major way on the field and in the coaching staff with offensive mastermind Joe Brady off to be the offensive coordinator for the Carolina Panthers and defensive coordinator Dave Aranda leaving for the head coaching job at Baylor.

The Tigers believe in new starting quarterback Myles Brennan and they have a dynamic duo at wide receiver with Ja’Marr Chase and Terrace Marshall returning and the defense will have the luxury of having the best defensive back in the country in Derek Stingley Jr.

Despite the game being in Death Valley, I think that the Longhorns are catching the Tigers at the right time with so many new starters on the field and the turnover on the coaching staff and it will take a few games for the Tigers to become a cohesive unit instead of just a talented one. Longhorns pull the upset on the road.

Final Score: Texas 35, LSU 31 (2-0)
