Oklahoma Sooners. 5. 815. Dallas (Texas). player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Oct. 10

In what is one of the best rivalries in all of college football, Texas and Oklahoma should both be undefeated by the time that these two teams meet in Dallas. The stakes will be enormous in this one and the winner will have an inside track to be one of the two teams in the Big 12 title game.

Lincoln Riley is 3-1 versus Texas since he was hired before the 2017 season and this will be the biggest test of the season so far for redshirt freshman quarterback Spencer Rattler.

This has all the makings of another classic shootout between two high-powered offenses and I think that is when the Red River Rivalry is at its best. Sam Ehlinger is looking to end his career at Texas on a high note and that would start with a big win in a huge rivalry game.

Oklahoma has the edge here in overall talent and coaching, as well as being more proven in big games than Texas and that will propel the Sooners to a victory in an instant classic.

Final Score: Texas 38, Oklahoma 42 (4-1, 1-1)

Oct. 17. player. 877. Scouting Report. Austin (Texas). West Virginia Mountaineers. 6. Pick Analysis

Texas will need to bounce back quickly if they want to keep their hopes alive of making it to their second Big 12 title game in the last three seasons.

West Virginia played well at times last year in  head coach Neal Brown’s first season in Morgantown and they will be looking to pull the upset in Austin. West Virginia narrowly missed out on a bowl game last year and that will be the goal in 2020 for the Mountaineers.

There are a lot of questions for the Mountaineers, including at quarterback. There are some talented receivers on the roster as well as some talented defenders. West Virginia will have to find a way to be more efficient on offense and not give up so many explosive plays on defense.

The Mountaineers are improving but they are not ready for Texas yet.

Final Score: Texas 38, West Virginia 24 (5-1, 2-1)
