871. Stanford Cardinal. Oct. 10. Stanford (Calif.). 3. player. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis

Stanford will be looking to have a bounce back season from a year ago, where they went 4-8 and saw their feared running game and defense stumble to some of the worst in the country. This game is also where Kedon Slovis broke out and announced himself as one of the best quarterbacks in the entire country.

David Shaw is one of the most respected coaches in the nation and he has helped make Stanford one of the best and most consistent programs in the country.

USC has won three of the last four against the Cardinal, including last years matchup, which was the coming out party for Trojan quarterback Kedon Slovis. The Cardinal have one of the best cornerbacks in the nation in Paulson Adebo and their secondary should be a strength and the Cardinal have talented wideouts to be able to have an explosive passing game.

There are too many question marks at running back and in the front-seven for Stanford to be a big threat in the Pac-12 however. USC gets another win in this rivalry.

Final Score: USC 42, Stanford 24 (3-0)

Colorado Buffaloes. 4. 857. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Oct. 17. Los Angeles (Calif.). player

Colorado is a program that is undergoing another shift with head coaches after Mel Tucker’s sudden departure to Michigan State and the program decided to hire former UCLA head coach Karl Dorrell to lead the program.

After coming close to winning the Pac-12 in 2016, the Buffaloes have not been as successful in the seasons since. Mel Tucker looked to be a promising pick as a head coach despite a 5-7 record, but he departed suddenly for East Lansing and Colorado had to fill the vacancy rather quickly.

I think this year could be a hard one for the Buffaloes and USC will be too much for them on the road in Los Angeles.

Final Score: USC 45, Colorado 17 (4-0)
